Abstract

It was hypothesized that the complexity and arrangement of Myotendinous Junction of a muscle will be dependent on its usage (on a daily basis) and tensile strength. The more used muscle should have a sharper MTJ. In this study, three muscles were chosen namely- Soleus, Gastrocnemius and Plantaris. These muscles highly differ on their tensile strength. On histological study similar results were observed.
