The main goal of the diabetes management of all forms of diabetes is to control metabolic abnormalities in order to prevent acute complications like hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia, chronic complications like retinopathy, nephropathy, neuropathy and cardiovascular disease without negatively impacting on quality of life. It mainly provides clinicians with the latest findings and opinions on the optimum therapies to monitor day to day expanding level of diabetes.
International Journal of Diabetes Management welcomes and encourages Academicians, professionals, researchers, doctors and students throughout the world to submit their quality research work conducted on Diabetes Management present research, analysis and commentary on the battle with Type I and Type II diabetes covering their clinical and diagnosis issues, review articles, short-communications, case reports, editorials, Mini-review, opinion articles, perspective studies, commentaries, or any other topics related to the scope of our journal for the publication. All submitted articles will be peer-reviewed, accepted articles will be published online and archived in the journal website.
This journal mainly aims to provide the vital knowledge and rapid publication of articles in all areas related to Diabetes management in present therapeutics and patient compliance together with perspectives on future prospects. Coverage focuses on the key objective of stabilizing blood glucose levels in individuals with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, glycemic control as close to normal as possible for prevention of long-term complications in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes and the associated issues of patient cooperation and education. The journal also focusses about current research on diabetes such as attempts to recreate pancreatic cells through stem cell technology or islet cell transplantation, nutrition is of utmost importance in intensive management and has often been described as the cornerstone of diabetes care, the development of a vaccine for Type 1 disease and the potential for biomarkers to be used for the detection. The focus in the nutritional management of diabetes is to improve glycemic control by balancing food intake with endogenous, exogenous insulin levels, control on the glycemic response to food, mainly food containing carbohydrates, low carbohydrate and starvation diets, artificial sweeteners and pharmacological preparations such as fast acting insulin and inhibitors of carbohydrate absorption. The increasing understanding of the molecular basis of the disease and associated genetics will play an important part in future diabetes management.
